Copying-Symbols Setups
Copying-Symbols Setups are saved in a text file. You can click the button “Open Symbols Setup” to open the file after the program begin running. And after the amendments, don’t foget to click the refresh button to reload the setups.
Copying-Symbols Format should be as below:
{MT4Symbol} -> {LongIBSymbol} = {Copying Ratio}
For example:
EURUSD -> CASH-EUR.USD= 100000
GBPJPY -> CASH-GBP.JPY = 100000
SP500 -> CFD-IBUS500 = 1
XAUUSD -> CMDTY-XAUUSD = 100
AAPL -> STK-AAPL-SMART-USD = 1
US30 -> FUT-YM201812-ECBOT-USD = 1
DE30 -> FUT-DAX201812-DTB-EUR-25 = 1
For XAUUSD -> CMDTY-XAUUSD =100 means:
If order size in MT4 is 1 lot, the size in IB account will be 100 lots. If MT4 order size is 0.01 lot, then the IB size will be 1 lot.
1. Format of {LongIBSymbol}:
| i. Forex(Cash) / Commodities(CMDTY) / CFD |
{Security Type} – {IB Symbol}
Such as “CASH-EUR.USD”, “CMDTY-XAUUSD”, “CFD-IBUS500″ |
| ii. Stock(STK) | {Security Type} – {IB Symbol} – {Exchange} – {Currency}
Such as “STK-AAPL-SMART-USD” |
| iii. Futures(FUT) | {Security Type} – {IB Symbol}{ContractMonth} – {Exchange} – {Currency}- {Multiplier} Notes: (1) {ContractMonth} should be written as YYYYMM, such as 201906. (2){Multiplier} is an optional item. If you are sure there is only one kind of Multiplier of the IB symbol, it can be ignored. Examples: FUT-CL201906-NYMEX-USD, FUT-NQ201906-GLOBEX-USD, FUT-DAX201906-DTB-EUR-25(Two kind of Multiplier exists for DAX, 5 or 25) |
2. {Copying Ratio}: the lots sent to IB account for 1 lot in MT4. Please refer to How to determine the copying ratio?
3. Other Notes for the setup file:
- One Line for One copying symbol.
- The lines start with “//” are the comments, that will not be read.
